In Fall 2023, FSG, a global non-profit consulting firm, launched a new collaborative learning platform, the FSG Purpose Studio. In collaboration with FSG, we hosted their inaugural Health Equity Purpose Studio at Rutgers Business School. The event brought together approximately 25 executives from multiple companies in the healthcare industry to discuss how to build the enabling conditions to accelerate health equity efforts in their companies. We saw the importance of creating safe spaces for peer-to-peer learning and providing opportunities for issue-specific collaboration and joint problem-solving.
On October 1st, 2024, FSG hosted a webinar, Flying through Interference - Lessons from Health Equity Corporate Changemakers, featuring leaders from AARP, Bristol Myers Squibb, Merck, and Sanofi. The focus of the webinar was to see how corporate changemakers are grappling with how to transform their social impact commitments into action, and how many are encountering interference within their companies that can slow down progress and reduce impact.
